🇸🇨 Victoria City Athletic Club (Seychelles)

Victoria City Athletic Club (Seychelles)

Victoria City Athletic Club (Victoria City AC), based in Victoria, Seychelles, was a short-lived football club that existed from 2014 until it dissolved in 2020.

Originally known as Real Boyz FC (or Real Boys United FC), it was renamed Victoria City for the 2014 season when it entered the third division. Based on prior performance, it was quickly moved to the second division that same year. The club competed in the lower tiers, winning the PillayR Group Cup in 2016 by defeating Au Cap FC 4–2. In 2017, it finished first in the second division and earned promotion to the Seychelles Premier League for the first time.

It played its home matches at the 10,000-capacity Stade Linité in Victoria. In the 2019 Premier League season, it finished 6th. However, in December 2019, the Seychelles Football Federation revoked its membership after the club forfeited a Premier League match against Côte d’Or FC and indicated it would skip its next cup fixture. Federation rules excluded a club for the season after two forfeits. In May 2020, it was announced that Victoria City had ceased operations, partly due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in Seychelles.
