Boavista Timor Leste (Timor Leste)
The club traces its origins to 1986, when it was founded as Kumpulan Anak Remaja Lorosae by Pedro Carrascalão during the period of Indonesian occupation of East Timor. It was closed shortly after the Santa Cruz massacre (12 November 1991). It was later revived and rebranded as Boavista Futebol Clube Timor-Leste around 2018. The team played its home matches at the Municipal Stadium in Dili (capacity around 5,000).
Boavista enjoyed a brief period of success in the professional era of Timorese football. It won the Liga Futebol Amadora Primeira Divisão title in 2018 and finished as runners-up in 2019. It also claimed the LFA Super Taça. These achievements made it one of the stronger sides in the top flight during those seasons.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic and participation in the 2020 Copa FFTL, the club withdrew from the 2021 Primeira Divisão season. In 2022 it formally announced its withdrawal from the Timorese league system, citing financial problems and an inability to meet the league’s financial requirements. It has not returned to competitive football since and is listed among former Liga Futebol Amadora clubs.
