🇬🇲 Arrance FC (Gambia)

Arrance FC (Gambia)

Adonis FC (originally Arrance FC), a Banjul/Bathurst club founded around 1966 and dissolved in 1976, is one Forgotten Football Club from Gambia.

It began as Arrance FC Bathurst and was renamed Adonis FC. The club competed in the top flight (GFA League First Division) during the early post-independence era and was among the stronger sides in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Their achievements included two GFA League First Division titles in 1967/68 and 1972/73.

It was part of the early competitive landscape that included clubs such as Augustinians, White Phantoms, Wallidan, and Real de Banjul.

The club disappeared in 1976. Like many early Gambian teams rooted in the colonial-era Bathurst (renamed Banjul in 1973) football scene, it faded amid the evolution of the league structure and changing club landscape.
