S.P Aurora (San Marino)
S.P Aurora was a Sammarinese club based in Santa Mustiola and was founded in 1968.
Not much is known about where or who they played from 1968 up until the first official Sammarinese league was set up. The Campeonato Sammarinese di Calcio was set up in 1985, with 17 clubs taking part in the first edition. To decide who would be playing in the second division or the Serie A2 the next season, 10 clubs were to be relegated, which made for an interesting season.
S.C Faetano won the first championship by one point, but S.P Aurora found themselves in 14th and in one of the relegation places, after only winning 2 games all season.
They played one season in the second tier but failed to get promoted, with FC Domagnano winning the second division and gaining promotion.
But that was the last we saw if S.P Aurora, who dissolved in Auhust 31st, 1987.
Even the smallest of countries have Forgotten Football Clubs, you just have to look really hard to find them.
