FC Dnipro (full name: Football Club Dnipro, Ukrainian: Футбольний Клуб «Ð”ніпро») was a historic Ukrainian professional football club based in the city of Dnipro (formerly Dnipropetrovsk).
Founded in 1918, it operated for over a century until its dissolution in 2019.
After FC Dnipro's collapse, SC Dnipro-1 (founded in 2015/2017) emerged. It was not the official successor but took over much of the infrastructure, including the academy and stadium.
SC Dnipro-1 rose quickly to the Ukrainian Premier League and had some success (e.g., strong league finishes), but it also faced financial issues tied to similar ownership circles.
It withdrew from professional competitions around 2024 due to insolvency and is no longer active in the top flight.
As of 2026, there is no active top-level professional team directly continuing the original FC Dnipro's legacy in the Ukrainian Premier League.
