Founded in 1874 in Cambuslang (near Glasgow), was a founder member of the SFL in 1890. They had early promise, reaching the Scottish Cup final in 1888 (runners-up after a 10–1 semi-final win over Abercorn) and winning the inaugural Glasgow Cup that year.
However, they were expelled after the 1891–92 season over professionalism disputes (paying players under the table, common in the amateur-to-professional transition). The club struggled on but went into liquidation in 1897. Grounds included Westburn Park and Whitefield Park. No direct phoenix; later, junior sides like Cambuslang Rangers (formed 1899) emerged in the area but are separate.
