Founded in 1984 by Dutch entrepreneur Jan Bernard Domburg, the club was amongst the six clubs who were the founding members of the Liga Panameña de Fútbol.
The club played their games at the Estadio Olímpico Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez and were known as Los Vikingos, wearing blue and yellow stripes for their home kit while all white was adopted for their away jerseys.
Their only ever league title came in 1993, after they came runners-up in the league in 1991 and 1992. It was a golden era in the clubs history.
But while the early 90s were a golden era, the early 00s were the complete opposite. After flirting with relegation in the previous years, the club was finally relegated in the 2000-01 season.
It was all forseen as the club had been experiencing financial problems before then, having to move out of their home stadium whilst also selling a number of key players. Their replacements were simply not good enough.
They spent one year in the second division of the Panama football pyramid and found themselves relegated once again. But they failed to compete in the third tier as the club officially folded in 2002.
No country in the world is immune to having a football club become a Forgotten Football Club.....or is there?
