Dustlik (Uzbekistan)
Originally founded in the early 1960s (with roots tracing back to earlier names such as Pakhtakor and Politotdel), the club represented the settlement of Dustlik (and previously Yangibazar) in Tashkent Region. It played under various names during the Soviet era, including Politotdel, and later adopted Dustlik in the mid-1990s after Uzbekistan’s independence.
Dustlik competed in the Uzbekistan Higher League (now Super League) from 1993 to 2003. Its peak came at the turn of the millennium, when it won consecutive league titles in 1999 and 2000. It also claimed the Uzbekistan Cup in 2000. These achievements made it one of the more successful clubs of the early independent era, alongside powerhouses such as Pakhtakor and Neftchi.
In its final season (2003), Dustlik finished 11th. At the end of the year the club was dissolved because of debts owed to the Uzbekistan Football Federation. It has not been revived.
