ASC El Ahmedi (Mauritania)
The club was based in the Sebkha area of the capital, Nouakchott, and played its home matches at the Stade Olympique (capacity around 40,000). It earned promotion to the Mauritanian Premier League (Super D1) for the 2004 season after winning promotion the previous year.
From 2004 to 2011, El Ahmedi competed in the top flight, often finishing in the upper half of the table and challenging for higher positions, though it never won the league title. It also participated in the Coupe de Mauritanie.
In the 2006 CAF Champions League, the club entered the preliminary round but withdrew before facing Raja Casablanca of Morocco.
El Ahmedi disappeared in 2011 when it merged into ASC Tidjikja. The merger allowed Tidjikja to take a place in the Mauritanian Premier League for the 2011–12 season. This was part of broader instability in Mauritanian club football around that period, when several teams (including ASC Mauritel Mobile FC and ACAS Teyarett) faced financial exclusion or restructuring.
