VCD Athletic F.C (full name: Vickers, Crayford & Dartford Athletic Football Club) is a semi-professional English football club based in Crayford, in south-east London (Kent border area).
The club was founded in 1916 during the First World War by workers at the Vickers armaments factory in Crayford (originally as Vickers (Erith) FC). This makes it one of the few English clubs formed during the Great War. It started as a company side and joined local leagues after the war, including the Kent League and Kent Amateur League (later Kent County League), where it spent over 70 years.
Nicknamed The Vickers, the club plays in green and white home colours and is known for its deep roots as a former works team.
As of April 2026, VCD Athletic competes in the Isthmian League – South East Division (Step 4 of the English non-league pyramid, formerly part of the Ryman/Isthmian system)
However on April 16th 2026 , the club released a statement that they will be ceasing operations at the end of the season. Another lower league club becoming a Forgotten Football Club.
