Beitar Tel Aviv F.C (Israel)

Beitar Tel Aviv F.C. (诪讜注讚讜谉 讻讚讜专讙诇 讘讬转"专 转诇 讗讘讬讘) was an Israeli football club based in Tel Aviv (primarily associated with the Jaffa/Bloomfield area).

Founded in 1934, it competed for decades in the higher tiers of Israeli football before merging and effectively ceasing independent existence in 2000.

The club began as a youth side linked to the Beitar (Revisionist Zionist) movement but quickly progressed into senior competitions. It reached the top division within a few years.

They won the Palestine Cup in 1940 (beating Maccabi Tel Aviv 3–1 in the final) and then winning the Palestine Cup again in 1942, with a record 12–1 victory over Maccabi Haifa in the final — still one of the highest-scoring cup finals in the country’s history. The 1947 cup final was abandoned amid controversy.

The club were a founding member of the Israeli League after independence and finishing 6th in the inaugural 1949–50 season. It also shared or was recognized in connection with a 1944–45 regional championship.

Beitar Tel Aviv spent many seasons in the top flight (Liga Leumit / later the Premier League equivalent) and the second tier, with multiple promotions and relegations. Its best modern top-flight finishes included 4th place in 1988–89 and 3rd in 1990–91. It won second-division titles on several occasions (including 1963–64, 1968–69/80–81 periods, and others) and reached cup finals or strong positions periodically. Home matches were often played at Bloomfield Stadium.

The club experienced repeated relegations in the 1990s. Its final top-flight appearance ended with relegation in 1995–96. After dropping to the third tier (Liga Artzit) by the late 1990s, financial difficulties and declining viability led to a merger at the end of the 1999–2000 season with fellow Tel Aviv side Shimshon Tel Aviv. The combined entity became Beitar Shimshon Tel Aviv (later evolving through further mergers into forms such as Beitar Tel Aviv Ramla / Bat Yam / Holon).
