Antigua Barracuda FC (Antigua and Barbuda)
The club was created with support from the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) as the country's first (and only) fully professional team.
Its main goal was to develop and retain local talent who might otherwise leave for opportunities abroad. It played in USL Pro (then the third tier of the U.S. soccer league system) from 2011 to 2013, as part of an International Division that included other Caribbean teams.
Their home ground was Stanford Cricket Ground nicknamed "Sticky Wicket Stadium, in Osbourn, Saint George Parish, with a capacity of about 5,000. It was a cricket venue temporarily adapted for soccer. In 2013, the club became a traveling team with no home matches.
The club had a short and challenging existence. In 2011 it finished 6th in the American Division; average attendance around 1,189.
In 2012 it struggled once more, finishing lower in the league.
But it was in 2013 that it had its worst run of results. It was a notorious season where they lost all 26 league matches (0-26-0 record), scoring just 11 goals and conceding 91.
This tied a North American professional sports record for the worst full-season performance. They played every game on the road after other Caribbean teams withdrew, with players and staff based in Tampa, Florida, and no permanent training facility.
They also participated in the 2013 CFU Club Championship (finishing third in their group) but folded shortly after the season due to financial difficulties, lack of a home venue, and logistical issues.
Owner Gordon Derrick backed the club, with coaches including Tom Curtis (2011–2012), Fernando "Nando" Abraham, and Adrian Whitbread (2013). Notable players included locals like Tamorley Thomas, George Dublin, and others from the Caribbean region.
